  • Telecommunications

The Michigan Public Service Commission's statutory responsibilities related to telecommunications services require that some form of regulatory support be available to companies providing telecommunications services and customers using those services. The MPSC's role is to advocate policies that permit and encourage market competition to govern process and services in markets where competition exists. The MPSC is also responsible for promoting video and cable service competition in the state as set forth in Public Act 480 of 2006.
