Michigan's Medicaid Office is also part of HASA and the designated State Unit on Aging function will be fulfilled by HASA.

    Public Comment Period Open for FY 2022 Minimum Proportionate Waiver Request to the Administration for Community Living (ACL)

    The Health and Aging Services Administration is requesting a waiver from the Administration for Community Living (ACL) under the requirements from Section 316 for our regular Older Americans Act Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act Title III-B and American Rescue Plan (ARP) Title III-B minimum proportion requirements and the Title III-E Kinship minimum proportion requirment for FY 2022. In order to receive approval from the ACL, a public comment period is required. We are asking for your responses as soon as possible. The Health and Aging Services Administration is requesting a waiver of the requirements for both Title III-B and Title III-E funding sources to allow for maximum flexibility to the State Unit on Aging and the area agencies on aging.

    The minimum proportion requirements contain within Title III-B:  10% Access, 10% In-home, 6.5% Legal, and within Title III-E, 5% Kinship.
