Labor and Economic Opportunity
The Health Services Department at MCTI offers a wide range of services. These include occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychological counseling, clinical social work, dietetic counseling, dental, dental hygiene, substance abuse counseling, and physician/nursing services.
Nursing Service provides assistance to students in the areas of disability management, health teaching, minor acute illness care, and liaison with home area treating medical specialists.
Psychosocial Services include psychological assessments, crisis intervention, counseling, guidance, support, and disability management/education. In addition, efforts are made to coordinate services with a student's Community Mental Health or private provider. Students are also assisted with life skills development.
Other services provided onsite for staff and students include CPR and First Aid Training, Sexual Harassment Prevention programs, and Infection Control Education.
On-going support groups on campus include TBI Support, Serious Mental Illness Support, and Relapse Prevention Support.
