Staffers from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources will answer viewer questions live Thursday night on "Ask the DNR," broadcast on WNMU-TV13.
DNR wildlife biologist Kristie Sitar from Newberry, Kelly Somero, unit supervisor at Baraga State Park, fisheries biologist Cory Kovacs from Newberry and conservation officer Mike Evink from Schoolcraft County will be available for the hour-long program, which will air live at 8 p.m. EDT, Thursday May 6.
The program will be available later online, where WNMU-TV13 archives past shows.
"This show will be another great opportunity for viewers to get their questions answered on a wide range of subjects," said John Pepin, DNR deputy public information officer. "Ask the DNR will return for a new season of live broadcasts in the fall."
The panel will likely field questions about spring- and summer-related recreation activities, including camping, fishing and boating and off-road vehicle operation, though the discussion is typically wide-ranging, based on viewer questions.
Viewers are reminded to leave their name and phone number when calling in questions. Those questions not answered on the air will be answered by DNR staffers in returned phone calls following the program.
