The Talent Investment Agency -Workforce Development (TIA-WD) vision is to promote a flexible, innovative, and effective workforce system within the State of Michigan. To accomplish this, the TIA-WD supports a demand driven workforce system, assists the structurally unemployed with financial independence, advocates for the integration of workforce development into the K-12 school system, and supports the alignment of workforce development with economic development efforts.
MILogin for Citizens
On November 18, 2018, Pure Michigan Talent Connect (PMTC) and the Unemployment Insurance system via the Michigan Web Account Manager (MiWAM) will align their systems with the existing MILogin for Citizens single sign-on platform to provide a seamless login experience and provide UI claimants a quick overview of claim information.
New and existing users of PMTC and MiWAM will need to register their accounts with MILogin for Citizens single sign-on upon implementation. With MILogin for Citizens, customers can log in to their MiWAM and jobseeker accounts using the same user ID and password. Bringing these accounts together in one place is convenient, efficient and secure, and will help our customers get back to work faster.

Have you heard? The Skilled Trades Training Fund (STTF) is getting a name change. Through Public Act 260, signed by Governor Snyder on June 27, 2018, STTF was codified to become the Going PRO Talent Fund (the Talent Fund). Even with a new identity, the Going PRO Talent Fund remains one of the most powerful tools in Michigan’s toolkit to address in-demand skill growth and employer talent needs. Talent Fund awards made through the local Michigan Works! agencies assist Michigan businesses to train, develop and retain current and newly hired employees.
