Talent and Economic Development
Ted and its subsidiary agencies work to provide the connections, expertise and innovative solutions to drive continued business growth, build vibrant communities, create affordable housing, generate tourism and attract and retain key talent to fill Michigan’s vast pipeline of opportunities.
The Michigan Strategic Fund oversees economic development strategies. Its board directs state appropriations in support of business and community development, and state marketing activities, including the promotion of tourism, film industry, arts and cultural affairs.
The Michigan State Housing Development Authority provides financial and technical assistance through public and private partnerships to create and preserve safe and decent affordable housing.
The mission of the Michigan Land Bank is to promote economic growth in this state through the acquisition, assembly and disposal of public property, including tax reverted property, in a coordinated manner to foster the development of that property, and to promote and support land bank operations at the county and local levels.
