The Ralph A. MacMullan Conference Center (or RAM Center) is offering overnight packages for individuals and family groups April 22-30. The package is $80 per person/night, which includes an overnight stay, breakfast and lunch. The painting class with a Bob Ross-certified instructor is optional and $60 per person. There will be one painting class scheduled each day.
Limited lodging is available due to COVID-19 restrictions. Reservations will be accepted for small groups of up to two households per lodge. There is room for eight families at one time, with one family unit per wing or lodge.
The RAM Center is nestled along the shores of Higgins Lake adjacent to North Higgins Lake State Park and the Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC) Museum in Roscommon. These lands are often called the cradle of forestry for Michigan, as it was the site of the CCC tree nursery, from which 484 million trees were grown for planting around Michigan in the early 1900s. This is a great opportunity to learn more about Michigan's forests and wildfire detection while supporting tree planting in Michigan state parks!
