Hardworking Stewardship Volunteers

Meet at the small parking lot on the east side of Marsh Road, just south of Swartout Road (on the park’s west side).  From the park headquarters on M-29, drive north, turn left onto Roberts Road, then turn left when Roberts Road dead ends at Marsh Road. Map/GPS coordinates: 42.659288, -82.546328.

Join us as we cut invasive shrubs to keep them from shading out native plants in this beautiful prairie remnant.

Registration is required and space may be limited to comply with social distancing guidelines. Register by emailing Kelsey Dillon at DillonK1@michigan.gov.

Please Note: Dates occasionally change and events may be canceled due to inclement weather and other reasons. Please call the event contact to confirm dates/times prior to your arrival.

For more information on the program, visit the Volunteer Stewardship webpage. For more information about invasive species, visit Michigan.gov/Invasives.

Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into Michigan state parks. To make a camping reservation, visit MIDNRReservations.com or call 1-800-447-2757.

Stay in the know! Sign up for the parks you're interested in volunteering, and you will be notified about upcoming volunteer stewardship events.
