April 10, 2019

The Automobile Theft Prevention Authority (ATPA) is currently accepting grant applications from law enforcement agencies, prosecutors and non-profit organizations for enforcement, prosecution, community awareness, and prevention programs aimed at reducing motor vehicle theft.

This grant is funded from assessments paid by insurance companies to the ATPA. Due to the limited funds available, a 50 percent cash match is required for all applicants, with the exception of non-profit organizations. Funds must be utilized to enhance motor vehicle theft prevention efforts, not to supplant
current programs.

The fiscal year 2020 grant period begins Oct. 1, 2019, and ends Sept. 30, 2020.

Visit www.michigan.gov/atpa to obtain a grant application. Grant applications must be submitted to the ATPA on or before June 3, 2019.
