Can I change the business structure of my company once I am licensed?

The business structure of the company can only be changed if the Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) does not change. This will require an amendment to be filed with the Agency. If the FEIN does change, a new application and non-refundable application fee is required.

If you are licensed as a Sole Proprietor you cannot change your ownership structure to an entity, add additional members, or sell your “business” as your social security number will be associated to the business and cannot be transferred. A new application and non-refundable application fee will be required.
