The pavilion at the Father Marquette National MemorialPlease allow about one hour to take in the national memorial, a 15-station outdoor interpretive trail and panoramic views of the Mackinac Bridge. The park also offers camping, picnicking, hiking and other seasonal activities. 

2020 Season Dates and Hours

The Father Marquette National Memorial is open daily from April 1 through November 25, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., unless there is heavy snow. Visit the DNR COVID-19 information page for updates.

Admission

A Michigan State Parks Recreation Passport is required for entry to Straits State Park; there is no additional charge to visit the memorial.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Personal photography without flash for private use is permitted in the museum and on the grounds. Photographs may not be published, sold or otherwise distributed for commercial purposes.

Photography for weddings and other special events is allowed on the grounds and in the Memorial during regular open hours with advance permission. Please contact us in advance to schedule a time.
