    Originally called the Portsmouth Spartans from Portsmouth, Ohio the Detroit Lions are a professional football team that makes Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan their home. The Detroit lions are one of the oldest teams in the NFL getting their start in 1930. Want to know more about The Detroit Lions? Check out our display on 2nd floor south where you can find: pictures, videos, and books on Lions greats like NFL Hall of Famer Barry Sanders. Also, take a peek behind the curtain into what life is like off the gridiron with memoirs from past Lions players.
