Join representatives from the Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency as they commemorate the 30th anniversary of the ADA and share programs/services they provide to both unemployed individuals and UIA employees to provide accessibility and overcome barriers to employment.

After that, Join representatives from the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity, Workers’ Disability Compensation Agency (WDCA) in commemorating the ADA and learn how Workers’ Compensation was the first social program to recognizing  the value of workers’ with limitations by providing post-industrial injury  job accommodations to return to the pre-injury employment, or, provide job placement including training for suitable other employment. Programs are also included that provide special funding to incentivize employers to provide appropriate employment.
