The Michigan Bureau of Services for Blind Persons (BSBP) provides these services for youth:
The Youth Low Vision Program, which provides low-vision exams and eyeglasses (and other low-vision devices worn on the head) for eligible youth from birth to 14 years of age;
Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS), or Transition, which help students transition from high school to postsecondary education or employment. As a part of this program, a Bureau Rehabilitation Counselor participates in the preparation of the student's Individual Education Program (IEP).
