Annual License Expiration Dates Extended To June 15, 2020. Click Here For More Information About The 2020 License Renewal Process

Because of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) state of emergency, the Liquor Control Commission voted to extend the expiration date of liquor licenses in 2020 from April 30, 2020 to June 15, 2020.  This action was taken by the Commission on March 13, 2020 when it approved Administrative Order 2020-05, pursuant to MCL 436.1501(2).  The Commission further extended the deadline on May 28, 2020 under Administrative Order 2020-20.

Renewed licenses are printed and mailed within a few days of receipt of the completed renewal applications and renewal fees from licensees.  While the Commission has been mailing renewed licenses every day, mail delivery appears to have been slowed in certain parts of the state due to the state of emergency.  Receipt of your renewed license may be delayed because of this.

A 2019-20 license is valid until June 15, 2020 instead of the April 30, 2020 expiration date printed on the license.
