Munising Chiropractor Summarily Suspended

November 27, 2013 – The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) has suspended the Michigan license to practice as a chiropractor of George Conrad Spencer Young, D.C., of Munising, Michigan after he was convicted of Criminal Sexual Conduct, 4th Degree, in Alger County Circuit Court.

On October 31, 2013, Young was convicted of seven counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct, 4th Degree. Young is scheduled for sentencing on December 16, 2013. The convictions were based on allegations of Young inappropriately touching several female patients where he worked as a chiropractor at HealthQuest in Munising, Michigan.

On November 19, 2013, LARA issued an order summarily suspending Young’s license pursuant to the Public Health Code which provides for the mandatory suspension of a health professional upon the conviction of a felony.
