August 13, 2013 – The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) today approved a settlement agreement with DTE Gas Company that authorizes a $927,000 refund (including interest) to its natural gas customers. Customers are due the refund because the company self-implemented a natural gas rate increase that was higher than what the Commission ultimately approved.

Under the terms of the settlement, the refund will take place during the November billing month. A residential customer using 100 ccf of natural gas a month will see a refund of 29 cents on their monthly bill.

The MPSC is an agency within the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.
