LANSING, Mich. - Lt. Gov. Brian Calley today signed legislation that updates Michigan's driver's license and state identification card laws.

Senate Bill 494, sponsored by state Sen. Phil Pavlov, S.B. 495, sponsored by state Sen. John Pappageorge and S.B. 496, sponsored by Sen. Tom Casperson are now Public Acts 158 through 160 of 2011.
Article V Section 26 of the Michigan Constitution gives authority to the lieutenant governor when the governor is outside the state. The governor is on a trade mission to Asia until Saturday.
