Governor Engler today released a letter from U.S. Secretary of Energy Spencer Abraham noting that there has been "no supply disruption" in Michigan to justify prices of gasoline as high as $5 a gallon.

"While I am pleased prices have recently come down, I urge the public to continue to watch for and report obvious abuses toll-free to the Michigan Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division at 1-877-765-8388 and the federal Department of Energy Hotline at 1-800-244-3301."
