County Plans Import and Export Authorizations
In-state disposal of Michigan generated solid waste is prohibited in a county other than the county of generation unless it is reciprocally authorized per both the importing and exporting county Solid Waste Management Plans (Plan).
The purpose of the Import/Export Report (Report) is to make the Plan authorizations more accessible to the public. The Report outlines each county's import and export authorizations by county, all of the counties that have reciprocal authorization to both import and export waste, and includes any special conditions such as primary or contingency disposal and quantity limitations.
Please note that the Report should be used for general purposes ONLY. While it is expected that the Report is correct in its entirety, to determine official authorizations, please see the applicable Plans by either contacting the County DPA or by contacting the EGLE County Contact.
Please contact Christina Miller for questions or corrections via e-mail at millerc1@michigan.gov or 517-614-7426.
