• Governor’s Executive Order

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources has taken numerous actions to keep Michigan residents safe and healthy during the global coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. We have announced a series of facility and event closures, cancellations and modifications. Many public meetings have been postponed or moved to a webinar or conference call format.

Governor Whitmer's "Stay Home, Stay Safe" Executive Order states  you may enjoy many outdoor activities consistent with remaining at least six feet from people from outside the individual’s household, including fishing, hunting, hiking, boating and more. Effective immediately, Executive Order 2020-96 permits small gatherings of up to 10 people, as long as everyone practices social distancing.
