Trick-or-treating during the harvest festival

Campers and their visitors are invited to our annual Harvest Festival.  The event is limited to campers and their guests.  A event schedule will be available upon check-in at the campground registration station. Campers are encouraged to bring their spooky decorations and costumes. This year we will not offer "foods/drinks" during any of the events so you may want to pack some fun spooky snacks. Scheduled activities include:

Friday

  • We will be having a "Movie Night" in the evening, replacing the normal Camper Karaoke that we normally stage.

Saturday

  • Pumpkin decorating contest (Prizes 1st-3rd multiple age groups),
  • Costume contest (Prizes 1st-3rd multiple age groups)
  • Scavenger Hunt will occur during the day/afternoon Saturday.
  • Trick-or-Treating will occur late afternoon/early evening as normal.
  • Another "Movie Night" will replace the Halloween Dance on Saturday evening.

Sunday

  • Best Decorated Campsite will be announced (Prizes 1st-3rd places)

For safety reasons, vehicles will not be permitted to enter, exit, or drive within the park while trick-or-treating occurs Saturday evening. For more information, please call the park.

Please note: The DNR may have to scale back some parts of our popular harvest festivals due to COVID-19 operational procedures and protocols designed to protect the health and safety of visitors, volunteers and staff.

A Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into Michigan state parks. To make a camping reservation, visit www.midnrreservations.com or call 1-800-447-2757.

Datesoccasionally change and events may be canceled due to inclement weather and other reasons. Please call the park to confirm dates/times prior to your arrival.
