Looking for a unique winter weekend getaway? Head to Hartwick Pines State Park for one of four guided New Moon Lantern-Lit Hikes through the old-growth forest from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 28, Jan. 25, Feb. 22 or March 21. Then make it a weekend and stay overnight at the Ralph A. MacMullan Conference Center, just 15 minutes south of the park. Preregistration required for overnight stay only.

After the hike you are invited to cozy up with family and friends at the RAM Center's historic fieldstone fireplace for snacks, warm beverages and a family game night.

The hike is free (and anyone is welcome), but an overnight package is offered to all participants. The cost is $65 per person and includes the following:

  • Double-occupancy accommodations in our rustic lodges.
  • After-hike games, snacks and nonalcoholic beverages at our fireplace lounge.
  • Breakfast the next day.
  • Morning snowshoe hike on RAM Center grounds.

To reserve your space or for more details about the program and the RAM Center, please contact us at MacmullanCenter@Michigan.gov or 989-821-6200.

Please Note: Dates occasionally change and events may be canceled due to inclement weather and other reasons. Please confirm dates/times with the event organizer prior to your arrival.
