Department of Natural Resources
The Nature Center Summit is an opportunity for our nonformal education partners to learn, ask questions and discuss Michigan’s changing natural resources.
Nature centers, zoos, camps and other nonformal education settings reach thousands of Michigan residents with programming and messaging about Great Lakes ecosystems, wildlife and forest resources. College faculty members also reach thousands of students in higher education. We need your help to educate the public with factual information!
Join us Friday, Feb. 14, 2020, at the Ralph A. MacMullen Conference Center in Roscommon for a rare opportunity to hear from Michigan’s natural resources experts all in one setting. Stay overnight for a fun networking opportunity as well.
This day-long workshop will feature the DNR professionals who research and manage natural resources for the residents of our state. We have pulled together the DNR “expert” on each topic, so you will be hearing the most current, science-based information available.
Staff from Michigan nature centers, zoos, aquaria, camps and other nonformal education venues that focus on environmental and natural resources education. Higher education faculty teaching these topics in biology, zoology and other related courses.
