Michigan is home to more than 80 harbors and nearly 1,300+ boating access sites. Whether you are looking to cruise the Great Lakes, spend a day out on the water fishing or skiing, or relax in a canoe down a peaceful river, we make it easy for you to access Michigan's waters.
Boating Access at Parks and Forest Campgrounds
Many of our state parks and state forest campgrounds have boating access. Some are carry-in access only (for non-motorized boats), while others are home to boating access sites with boat trailer parking. Some also have kayak, canoe and paddleboard rentals. Please note, you must obtain a Recreation Passport for vehicle entry.
