Learn how to hunt pheasants with an experienced mentor and dog handler. This mentored pheasant hunt for new or novice hunters ages 12 and up will be held at Allegan State Game Area's Fennville Farm Unit in Fennville.

A parent or guardian must accompany hunters ages 12-17. A base or apprentice hunting license, along with a pheasant/sharp-tailed grouse stamp, is required.

Hunters must wear hunter orange and bring their own shotgun and ammo (#4, 5 or 6 nontoxic shot). A limited number of shotguns will be available to borrow.

This event is sponsored by the Michigan Pheasant Hunting Initiative, the National Wild Turkey Federation, Pheasants Forever and Michigan United Conservation Clubs in partnership with the Department of Natural Resources.
