Join us for a fun afternoon of invasive species elimination along the beautiful dunes! We will be cutting and stump treating scattered Japanese barberry and other rogue plants before they encroach further into the natural landscape. No experience is necessary. Meet at the picnic area south of the campground. Travel past the park headquarters towards the campground; the picnic area will be on the left. Please arrive on time as we will be hiking to the work location. Uninsulated leather work gloves are available for loan; volunteers may opt to bring a pair of insulated leather work gloves.

Please register using the volunteer registration form or via email to freih@michigan.gov. Additional information is available via the DNR Volunteer Stewardship webpage. For more information about invasive species, please visit michigan.gov/invasives.

Please Note: Dates occasionally change and events may be canceled due to inclement weather and other reasons. Please call the event contact to confirm dates/times prior to your arrival.
