Join instructors Bill Leder (Copper Country Chapter of Trout Unlimited) and Bob Wild (Park Interpreter, Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park) for an introduction to the basics of fly fishing, fly tying and river entomology. This family-friendly event for beginners is part of the Portage Health Foundation's “Experience the Keweenaw” weekend and is offered by the Friends of the Porkies Folk School.

Kids, bring your parents for a day of fun and fishing! The Copper Country Chapter of Trout Unlimited will provide all fly fishing equipment or students may bring their own. Bring a sack lunch, wear boots for walking in the river and dress for outdoor activity.

The cost of the class is $5.00. This class has a maximum of 25 students. A minimum of 6 students need to be registered by Friday, May 18 in order to hold the class.
