Spotted Knapweed - Invasive

Meeting location:  41.921620, -86.578874.

Come help protect the critical dune ecosystem from encroaching spotted knapweed! Volunteers will pull this noxious weed to support habitat for pitcher’s thistle. We will be working off trails so please plan to wear sturdy shoes, long sleeves and pants. We’ll be working in the open sun so please also plan to bring a hat and plenty of water. Meet at the organizational campground parking area on Floral Lane.

Volunteers are asked to register by using the volunteer registration form or via email freih@michigan.gov. Additional information and is available via the DNR website www.michigan.gov/dnrvolunteers. For more information about invasive species please visit michigan.gov/invasives.
